Herbert Button and Partners is one of the oldest established practices in Nottingham, the predecessor practice being founded in 1896 as Kingston and Partners but Herbert Button himself took over Kingston and Partners himself in 1947 and the practice has operated under that title ever since. We moved to our current offices in 1975 and over the years the practice has developed into several specialist areas.

The current principal, David Bingham BSc FRICS IRRV, a past president of the East Midlands Association of the Institute of Rating and Revenues and Valuation joined the practice in 1988 after spending some 14 years previously in the District Valuers service in Nottingham.

Brian Leivers MRICS, our associate, has been with us since 1996 and specialises in property management, his qualifications being gained in the 1960s and he subsequently worked for Turner Fletcher and Essex, a well-known practice of Chartered Surveyors in Nottingham.

Shelley Crump, our property manager and insurance adviser, joined us originally in 1994, left for a brief spell in the licensed trade and then rejoined us in 1998.

Local Authority

We are retained by four Local Authorities in the Nottingham area to provide them with valuation reports for Right to Buy valuations and representation at Re-determinations by the District Valuer. We also provide Housing Stock Asset Valuation advice to Local Authorities.

Insurance Agency

We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. We are insurance intermediaries for personal and commercial lines, specialing in property-based insurances.

Property Management

We have an extensive portfolio of rented properties which we are proud to manage on behalf of owners, providing a letting a comprehensive management service, regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with full clients money protection.

Special Valuation Services

Over a period of many years the principal of the practice has developed many contacts in the special area of the valuation of Mobile Home Parks and caravan sites. Our services are utilised by major lending institutions and private owners.
